Applied Myth

The studio

Ideas worth
making.

Applied Myth is an independent technology studio for ideas we want to see exist. We make software, explore AI, design things, and build worlds, learning our way into work that once felt out of reach.

Why this studio exists

You can see what you want to make without knowing every step it will take to make it. AI has made that a more useful starting point. It helps us learn unfamiliar tools, try a first version, and work across parts of a project that used to feel too far apart.

Applied Myth gives those ideas a home. Some begin with an everyday problem. Others begin with a place, a mood, or a question we cannot leave alone. We want to find out what they can become.

Imagination needs follow-through

AI is part of how we work. We use models and agents to explore, write, build, and revise. We still have to choose a direction, know what belongs, and try the result.

That is where much of the learning happens. A screen can look right and feel awkward to use. A world can sound compelling and fall flat when you enter it. We keep working until the idea and the thing in front of us start to agree.

What we want it to become

Our own products are the intended foundation of the business. We want them to sustain an independent studio with room to take chances and stay curious.

The ambition reaches beyond the current apps and game. Hardware, toys, or machines that move might come later, as we gain the knowledge and means to attempt them. What matters is keeping the studio open to ideas that do not fit neatly into one discipline.

The name and the griffin

A myth can give a strange idea a shape you remember. Applying it means asking how it could become something you can use, enter, or hold. That is the spirit of the name.

Our griffin joins the head and wings of an eagle with the body of a lion. We chose it for the combination of vision and strength: seeing something worth making, then doing the work to bring it into the world.
